A teacher by profession, Anupa Gnanakan has a passion for quality, meaningful, relevant and student centred education to children from underprivileged backgrounds. She has a passion to turn schools into places where children feel safe, happy and excited, by inculcating a curiosity to learn and discover.
With a BA in Psychology, Anupa Gnanakan is a trained Montessori teacher who later pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in The Comprehensive Management of Teaching Children with Learning Difficulties. She is now in the process of completing her MA in Special and Inclusive Education at the University of Northampton. After 15 years of teaching in various schools across Bengaluru, she is now the Director – Education at the ACTS Group of Institutions, a NGO that is dedicated to providing quality and accessible education to children from underprivileged backgrounds.
She currently resides in Bengaluru, India, with her husband Daniel Sundaram, their three children and four dogs.

Dr. Dixon hold a doctorate in Counselling Psychology, research studies in Religion and Justice from Harvard University, Philosophy of Ethics from Oxford University, International Law/International Human Rights from Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, and Solving Public Policy Problems from University of California, Berkley. He brings to CIFAL Bengaluru, 15 years of experience in R&D and Public Policy, having worked across the globe. He has been interviewed in over 36 countries in regards to his work.
As the Head for R&D at CIFAL Bengaluru, he works towards engaging in partnerships with intergovernmental bodies, academias and institutions of excellence and research organisations in developing and emerging countries. To achieve this, he would liaise with UN bodies across the globe for data mining, knowledge management, and reporting, which constitutes a way for leveraging respective
strengths to develop modern learning and training environments, platforms, tools, and methodologies which are based on state-of-art research, both technical and pedagogical.
Partnerships with CIFAL Bengaluru also allows academic and research institutions to open up to new audiences, share knowledge in training and research, build up new collaborations and cross-fertilisation with academic networks in other regions, and provide structured capacity-building and development needs.

Vandana Abraham has been a passionate educator for over 16 years. With an M.Sc in Botany from the Institute of Science, Nagpur, and a B.Ed and M.A. in Education from Andhra University, Vandana is currently the principal of Timpany Senior Secondary School, Visakhapatnam.
She is a Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) resource person for Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation, which is mandated by the Right To Education Act in India. Vandana is also heading the integrated curriculum project in the three Timpany schools in Visakhapatnam.
